If you want to change your life, it will cost you parts of your old one

Most people try to add new habits without changing the old patterns.

Wanting a more stress-free life, but instead of working less they continue to overwork and overschedule, and then try to ‘fix it’ with a few somatic exercises at the end of the day.

Wanting a more meaningful life with deeper connections, but still always putting themselves first, instead of showing up in community.

You can’t build a new life on the foundations of the old paradigm.

So if you want a more peaceful, connected, pleasurable life, you’ll need to let go of some of those old ways that our society celebrates: the constant hustle, the obsession with achievement, the idea that independence is the highest good, the idea that you always have to put yourself first (we went to far with the whole boundaries & me first idea, sometimes its actually way more fulfilling to put someone else first!)

It’s something I actively work on myself and help my clients with. This is not easy. But in the end, it’s worthwhile
